Avanti Forum: About Us

Wimberley, Texas is the home base for The Avanti Forum of Central Texas. Wimberley is located approximately halfway between Austin and San Antonio in the Texas Hill Country. The organization will hold each of its events at the Wimberley Community Center.

The reading public is invited to submit suggestions for future series programs. We will strive to present events that will be of both general and local interest.

Mission Statement

The mission of the Avanti Forum of Central Texas is to add a literary dimension to the active cultural scene in Wimberley by making it a showcase for literary talent and a venue for dedicated readers.

Goals

1. To present up to four Meet the Author events annually that will feature works in a variety of genres written by local, national, and when possible, international authors.
2. To provide a forum for individuals and groups to read and discuss diverse topics with integrated activities that foster continuing education, promote awareness, create friendships, nurture creativity and heighten a sense of community.
